Where can we have our session?

One of the most common questions I get asked Is “where can we do an outdoor session ?“ Luckily we are very fortunate to live in such a beautiful area. From the beaches, to the conservation areas, to our quaint small towns, there are tons of options for your session. 

After relocating to Brighton, in 2017. My absolute favourite places to shoot are Proctor Park , and Presquile Provincial Park in Brighton. We have such fantastic options with both locations.

Proctor Park, is located within the town of Brighton at 96 Young Street! It is home to our beautiful conservation area, as well as Proctor House, Museum. This location makes a beautiful backdrop for almost any kid of session! . Proctor park is an amazing location, surrounded by mature trees, beautiful pathways and gorgeous wood fences. I have had literally thousands of sessions at Proctor Park. Each one completely unique as there are many different locations to choose from within the park. If you’re looking for a maternity session, family session, or a fun session with just the kids. Proctor Park is definitely one of my top locations. and in the case that we have suddenly some bad weather, we can always relocate to my studio as it is just a three minute walk from the park! The main entrance off Young Street has been closed since Covid. I would recommend entering the park off Kingsley Avenue as there is ample parking there for your visit!

Presquile Provincial Park , Brighton.

Presquile park can be a little tricky since Covid, the new provincial booking system requires us to book our spot in the park within five days before your session. For this reason, I do not shoot at the park on the weekends. I worry we will not be able to get in as the beaches seem to fill up on the weekends, and with the craziness of summer weekends, we don’t always get the best spot on the beach. I prefer to book sessions at this park Monday to Thursday evenings. I have three different locations within the park that are my absolute favourite to shoot.

 Beach 1 , is my go to spot for all thing summer and sunset. This location has a beautiful sand beach, the perfect sunset, as well as some beautiful fields surrounding the park! Sunset summer sessions are definitely some of my favourites of all. We also shoot all our mermaid and pirate sessions at this location!

 Pioneer Trail, this is my absolute favourite spot for fall sessions. The trails run perfectly between the beautiful colour changing trees. This location in the fall makes for an absolutely gorgeous backdrop for your session. There’s lots of parking, and the location is easy to find.

 The Lighthouse, this has been one of my favourite spots in Presquile Park long before I even moved to Brighton. Situated deep inside the park , this location has beautiful trails through the trees , adorable little buildings and a fun rock beach. This location is perfect for a summer or fall session!

It doesn’t matter the time of year, or the type of session. Presquile Park has tons of options, and always creates the perfect backdrop for your session. Please remember that when entering the park you do you need to purchase a parking pass. This pass is not included in your session, and needs to be purchased at the gate upon entering.

Downtown Brighton.

Really? Downtown? Yes! Brighton has a ton of beautiful spots in the downtown area. It’s so fun to walk around and use all the old buildings and alleyways to create fun portraits!

Belleville

Before moving to Brighton, we spent four years living in Belleville. my absolute favourite location in Belleville would have to be the Quinte Conservation area on Highway two at Potters Creek! This location provides a scenic, beautiful view of the bay of Quinte , mature trees, and adorable trails. No matter the time of year or type of session you’d like , this location is one of the best in the area! 

Prince Edward County.

Before moving to Belleville in 2014 , I lived in Prince Edward County for 18 years. They’re literally hundreds of locations in Prince Edward county that are amazing for sessions. My absolute favourite would be North Beach. Located off Loyalist Parkway this beach is another amazing location with a gorgeous roach/ sand beach, with a beautiful tree lined entrance. I have had sunset sessions and fall session both at this location , and it never fails to be an outstanding backdrop!
